As the lead producer for Skycar Creative, I develop, crew, project manage, and post-produce films for clients such as Coke, Google, Facebook and Adobe.
Life Noggin Studios
For the science web show Life Noggin, I researched and wrote editorial scripts about such topics as space, biology, psychology, geology, and medicine.
Discovery Digital Networks
I developed, produced, and managed over 300 episodes of DNews (now called Seeker), a science and technology web series with Discovery Communications. In addition to directing the creative for the show, I supervised a team of associate producers and interns and maintained the rigorous production calendar for 10 episodes a week. In my first five months at the company, I brought the show to a record 5 million views-per-week and increased views-per-episode by over 150 percent.
I produced and wrote a wide variety of media content for the Smithsonian Institution and its partners, including online editorial series, educational explainers, promotional films, exhibit videos, and live event recordings. For each film, I developed creative concepts, directed studio and field production, supervised editing and animation, and managed schedules and budgets. I also edited rough cuts of videos and created the sound design for animations.
Interface Media Group
As a creative producer for Interface Media Group, I wrote and produced media content for a diverse group of clients, including Amtrak, Children’s National Health System, the U.S. Department of State, and the United Nations. I supervised production and post-production, liaising between the creative teams and our clients to ensure that we exceeded expectations. I also pitched original television and web series and created proposals for new clients.
For WebsEdge, I created informational and promotional videos for nearly 40 companies and educational institutions, including Stanford, Cornell, Penn State, the Smithsonian Institution, and IBM. In addition to writing and producing, I directed shoots around the country and managed an extensive database of freelance vendors. I also developed media content at conferences, including 30-minute, news-style programs that contained conference highlights and behind-the-scenes interviews with conference speakers.
As a producer and writer for VideoTakes, Inc., I created long and short-form documentaries, educational videos, advocacy pieces, and promotional web spots for groups such as The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, the U.S. Army Reserve, USAID, and the U.S. Botanic Garden.
National Park Service
During my time as an associate producer with the National Park Service, I coordinated location production throughout Montana and South Dakota for Land of Dreams: Homesteading America, a film about land use and the legacy of the Homestead Act. I also worked in post-production logging and selecting takes, conducting research, and clearing rights for archival footage.
