ITVS: Senior Creative Producer
I currently concept, write, and produce promotional and content marketing campaigns for PBS documentaries and Independent Lens. I also lead intake and scheduling for a 9-member Creative Services team, as well as develop internal and external brand videos for ITVS.
Skycar Creative: Lead Producer
In addition to developing and producing videos for clients such as Coke, Google, Facebook, and Adobe, I managed Skycar’s post-production calendars and performed long-term budget forecasting and tracking.
Life Noggin: Writer and Researcher
For the animated YouTube show Life Noggin, I researched and wrote editorial scripts covering all facets of science and technology. These videos averaged 1 million views each.
Discovery Digital Networks: Producer
I concepted, developed, produced, and managed over 300 episodes of DNews, a science and technology web series (now part of The Verge). In addition to directing the creative, I supervised a team of associate producers and interns and maintained the rigorous production calendar for 10 episodes a week. In my first five months at the company, I brought the show to a record 5 million views-per-week and increased views-per-episode by over 150 percent.
Smithsonian Enterprises: Producer
I produced and wrote a wide variety of media content for the Smithsonian Institution and its partners, including two web series, promotional campaigns, and exhibit media. For each video, I developed creative concepts, directed studio and field production, supervised post-production, and managed schedules and budgets. I also edited rough cuts of videos and created the sound design for animations.
Interface Media Group: Creative Producer
I concepted, wrote, and produced media content for a diverse group of clients, including Amtrak, Children’s National Health System, the U.S. Department of State, and the United Nations. On set, on location, and in post, I liaised between the creative teams and clients to ensure that we exceeded expectations. I also pitched original television and web series to networks and created proposals to win new clients.
WebsEdge: Producer
I developed informational and promotional videos for nearly 40 companies and educational institutions, including IBM, Stanford, Cornell, and Penn State. In addition to writing and producing, I directed shoots around the country and managed an extensive database of freelance vendors. I also developed media content for educational and professional conferences, including 30-minute, news-style programs that contained conference highlights and original interview.
VideoTakes, Inc.: Producer and Writer
I created short-form documentaries, educational videos, advocacy pieces, and promotional web spots for clients such as The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, USAID, and the U.S. Botanic Garden. I also worked in research, development, and post-production on the long-form documentary Henry A. Wallace: An Uncommon Man.
National Park Service: Associate Producer
I coordinated location production throughout Montana and South Dakota for Land of Dreams: Homesteading America, a film about land use and the legacy of the Homestead Act. I also worked in post-production logging and selecting takes, conducting research, and clearing rights for archival footage.
